Can you Apply for more than one course under DAAD scholarship?

You can apply for up to three courses. When applying for more than one course, list the courses in order of priority in the DAAD application forms and do not change the priorities in the application form.

Required Documents for DAAD Scholarship:

Prepare the following documents for your DAAD Scholarship application:

  1. A signed DAAD application form with the current date.
  2. A personally signed CV (using the sample europass form available at http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/) with the current date.
  3. A personally signed Letter of Motivation (max. two pages) that references your current occupation and explains your choice of postgraduate program(s). Ensure that it includes the current date. If applying for multiple postgraduate courses, submit one motivation letter explaining why you have chosen these specific courses and your priorities.
  4. A letter of recommendation from your current employer with letterhead, a signature, an official stamp, and a current date (not in a sealed envelope).
  5. Certificates of Employment from your employer(s) to prove a minimum of two years of relevant work experience (after obtaining your bachelor’s degree) at the time of application. If possible, include a guarantee of re-employment from your current employer upon your return.
  6. Proof of Language Skills:
    • For international programs, the language of instruction is typically English. You are usually required to submit an English language certificate, such as TOEFL or IELTS.
    • For other programs, the language of instruction is German. You are usually required to submit a German language certificate, such as DSH or TestDaF.
  7. Copies of Academic Degrees (with certified translation if necessary).
  8. Copies of Academic Transcripts, including the grading scale (with certified translation if necessary).
  9. For applicants from the People’s Republic of China, an APS Certificate is required with the application documents.
