Master Mind Scholarships for International Students 2024/2025
The Flanders Government is offering Master Mind Scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025, providing opportunities for outstanding international students to pursue master’s degree programs in Flanders and Brussels. The initiative aims to position Flanders and Brussels as premier destinations for academic excellence.

Eligible master’s degree programs offered at participating Flemish institutions, excluding preparatory and bridging programs or distance learning.

Target Group:
International students from all countries, excluding Russia. Special consideration given to applicants from specific countries, including Japan (3), Mexico (3), Palestine (2), and the USA (5).
Scholarship Value/Duration:
Each Master Mind Scholarship includes a €10,000 grant and a tuition fee waiver per academic year. Scholarship recipients only pay an administrative enrollment fee. The scholarship duration is one academic year for a 60 ECTS master program and two academic years for a 120 ECTS master program.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must apply for a master’s degree program at a Flemish host institution.
- High academic performance, with a Grade Point Average of 3.5 out of 4.0.
- Proficiency in the English language (refer to the official website for specific requirements).
- Acceptance by the host institution is a prerequisite for receiving the scholarship.
- Applicants can be nominated by only one Flemish higher education institution.
- All nationalities, except Russian, are eligible, and the previous degree should be from an institution outside Flanders.
- Students already enrolled in a Flemish higher education institution are not eligible.
Application Instructions:
Applicants cannot apply directly; instead, they must submit applications to the host institution. The host institution will preselect eligible candidates, and the application must be submitted online by the Flemish host institution. The deadline for applications is 28 April 2023, 23:59 GMT+1. Applicants must also adhere to internal deadlines set by the Flemish host institution, ranging between 1 February and 31 March 2024.
