Politecnico Milano Merit Based International Scholarships 2024/2025
Every year Politecnico di Milano offers a number of merit based scholarships to the most talented international candidates admitted to a Master of Science programme in the 1st or 2nd semester.

All Merit-Based International Scholarships offer exemption from tuition fees for the entire academic year for which they are assigned. Depending on the scholarship type, students will receive a grant ranging from €2,500 to €10,000 gross or accommodation. Additional details are provided in the eligibility section.

Eligibility:
- Platinum (€10,000 gross) and Gold Scholarships (€8,000 gross): All international students applying for the first year of a Master of Science program taught in English at either the Leonardo or Bovisa campuses for the 2024-2025 academic year are eligible.
- Gold Polo di Cremona Scholarship (€5,000 gross): All international students applying for the first year of a Master of Science in Agricultural Engineering or Music and Acoustic Engineering taught in English at Polo di Cremona for the 2024-2025 academic year are eligible.
- Gold “Morigi” Polo di Piacenza Scholarships: Provides accommodation at Collegio Morigi, including breakfast and one other meal from Monday to Friday (from 11.9.2024 to 31.7.2025 for first-semester students; from 10.2.2025 for second-semester students). During August, students can leave their luggage in the accommodation. Accommodation service runs only during Christmas and Easter breaks. Eligible programs include Sustainable Architecture and Landscape Design or Energy Engineering-Renewables and Environmental Sustainability at Polo di Piacenza.
- Gold Polo di Piacenza Scholarships (€2,500 gross): All international students applying for the first year of a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering – Mechatronics for Manufacturing taught in English at Polo di Piacenza for the 2024-2025 academic year are eligible.
- Silver Polo di Cremona, Lecco, Mantova, Piacenza Scholarships: Exemption from tuition fees for the entire academic year for international students applying for the first year of a Master of Science taught in English at Polo di Cremona, Polo di Lecco, Polo di Mantova, or Polo di Piacenza for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Students can apply for the Merit-Based International Scholarships through the dedicated section available on the Online Services platform: Benefits and Agreements > Economic benefits > Scholarships for International Master of Science Students a.y. 2024-2025.
Applicants need to upload a file answering the following motivational questions:
- What makes you an outstanding student besides your grades? (max. 200 words)
- Write a brief statement explaining why you are interested in pursuing an MSc at Politecnico di Milano in the chosen program and how this scholarship will help you achieve your academic and career goals. (max. 500 words)
Deadlines for the first semester starting September 2024:
- First timeframe: 15 January 2024 to noon (Italian time) on 1 March 2024
- Second timeframe: 8 April 2024 to noon (Italian time) on 30 April 2024
- Third timeframe: 6 May 2024 to noon (Italian time) on 13 June 2024
Note: Unawarded students from the previous two timeframes will be reconsidered in the third timeframe unless they have canceled their application.
Deadline for the second semester starting February 2025:
- Fourth timeframe: 17 June 2024 to noon (Italian time) on 15 July 2024
