The Enterprise Fellowships support three categories of individuals: recent graduates aspiring to establish a company, researchers aiming to spin out a company from a university or research institute, and international PhD students based in the UK who wish to spin out or start up.

Eligibility Criteria for Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellowships: To be eligible for the Enterprise Fellowships at the Royal Academy of Engineering, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Required Language: English
  • Eligible Countries: All World Countries
  • Key eligibility criteria include having a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 4 or above, equity investment in the business being less than £500,000, owning or co-owning the intellectual property, holding the highest equity stake in the company within the founding team, and having the ambition to be the CEO or COO of the business.

How to Apply for Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellowships: To apply, applicants must register with the system here. Once logged in, select My Applications in the top left corner and choose an application form from the list of currently open programs. The application process consists of two stages:

  • Stage One: A brief overview of yourself and your idea, assessing eligibility and fit with the program.
  • Stage Two: A more detailed application considering the idea’s merit and your potential to lead a startup. This includes providing information about yourself, the team, the technology, and the business model.

The application will be reviewed by a panel of experts, and successful candidates will be invited for an interview.
