York University International Student Scholarships 2024/2025
York University provides exclusive scholarships for international students who wish to pursue a full-time undergraduate degree at the University of York. These scholarships include the Global Leader of Tomorrow Scholarships and the International Entrance Scholarships of Distinction.

Field of Study: Any undergraduate degree program commencing in the Fall 2024 term under specific faculties: Arts, Media, Performance & Design; Environmental Studies; Education; Glendon; Health; Lassonde School of Engineering; Liberal Arts & Professional Studies; Science; or the Schulich School of Business.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions:
- President’s International Scholarship of Excellence: $180,000 ($45,000 x 4 years)
- Tentanda Via Award: $120,000 ($30,000 x 4 years)
- Global Leader of Tomorrow Award: $80,000 ($20,000 x 4 years) All scholarships mentioned are renewable for three years of full-time undergraduate study, contingent upon maintaining high academic standing in each academic year.
Eligibility: To be eligible for the Major International Scholarships, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an international student requiring a Study Permit to study in Canada.
- Applied to an undergraduate degree program at York starting in Fall 2024.
- Applied directly from high school within two years of graduation, with no prior university or college studies (not applicable to Tentanda Via Award).
- Demonstrated excellent academic record with a minimum “A” average or equivalent.
- Demonstrated leadership through community service or excellence in arts, sports, or other individual achievements.
- Uploaded one letter of recommendation or other supporting documents as applicable.
- Ensure all required documents are marked as “Received” in the York application (MyFile) by 15 February 2024, 11:59:59 pm, Eastern Time.
- Completed and submitted the online International Student Scholarship Application by 15 February 2024, 11:59:59 pm, Eastern Time.
Application Instructions: To apply, complete the International Student Scholarship & Award Application form online, requiring a 9-digit York reference number received within 5 business days of applying to York. It is crucial to submit the admission application to York well in advance of the scholarship application deadline of 15 February 2024.
